Walks around the Walls
A series of walks around Berwick’s walled fortifications has been arranged as part of an English Heritage Community Connections project which is being run by Berwick Record Office. They are:
Monday 13 April 11 am : Elizabethan Walls – Meet at the Loovre on Bankhill (Jim Herbert)
Monday 13 April 1.30 pm – Riverside Walls – Meet on the Ness Gate (Jim Herbert)
Friday 1 May 4.30 pm – Bell Tower and Lord’s Mount – Meet at the corner of Low Greens and Violet Terrace by the North Northumberland Hospice Shop ( Ray Clarke)
Monday 11 May 11 am – Berwick Castle – meet at the top of Railway Street ( Jim Herbert)
Monday 11 May 1.30 pm – From Ditch to Bastion – meet at the end of Northumberland Avenue near the Holiday Centre ( Jim Herbert)
