Northumberland Archives Trust (NACT) has organised a series of evening online lectures by academic experts with regional links. The lecture on Thursday 31 March 2022 is entitled “What did the Guild know? Politics and information in later C18th Berwick” and it will be given by Dr Ian Harris. He will explore the means by which information about London life and politics could be acquired in Berwick at a time when its ruling body, the Guild, had its own powers of government.
The lecture is free via Zoom, though donations to NACT will be welcome, and it should be booked on the Northumberland Archives page on Eventbrite.
