Burrell & French art

The FBDMA Autumn Lecture on Friday 25th October 2019 is entitled “French Paintings and Pastels in the Collection of William Burrell”.  It will be given by Vivien Hamilton (Research Manager, Art, at Glasgow Museums) who has written widely on French art and the Burrell collection. She will discuss the challenges and rewards of researching the provenance of Sir William Burrell’s paintings, which included works by Boudin, Fantin-Latour, and Degas.

The lecture will take place at 7.00pm in the Parish Centre (Holy Trinity, The Parade). Light refreshments will be served afterwards.  All welcome.
