Volunteers
The variety of events and activities that can be promoted by the Museum and the Record Office is greatly enhanced by the contributions of volunteers – in all sorts of capacities:
- stewarding and supervising exhibitions
- recording oral histories
- indexing and cataloguing documents
- transcribing sources, e.g. parish registers
- photographing and documenting local events
- typing research material at home
- organising Friends’ visits to places of interest
- distributing Newsletters and advertising
- providing refreshments at events
- sharing personal research – and writing for the Newsletter
And there may be lots of other things that haven’t been thought of yet.
