  • Autumn Lecture 25/10/2015

    The Friends’ Autumn Lecture will be held on Friday 6th November 2015, at 7.00pm in the Parish Centre (The Parade, Berwick-upon-Tweed).  Volunteers from the First World War Project will speak on various aspects of their work and discoveries in the Archives, including talks on the Belgian refugees, the Berwick war memorial, and Gallipoli.

    All welcome.  Raffle.  Refreshments.

  • Half-term at the Museum 12/10/2015

    Berwick Museum & Art Gallery will be open for schools’ half-term from Saturday 24th until Friday 30th October 2015. Usual opening hours 11.00am – 5.00pm.  During this period it will be hosting the NE Wildlife Photography Competition Exhibition (whose winner this year comes from Kelso).

    After this event, the Museum will be closed until Easter 2016.

  • Poppies: Weeping Window 10/10/2015

    Until 1st November 2015 Woodhorn Museum is hosting a touring exhibition derived from the display of ceramic poppies which achieved great popularity at the Tower of London last year. The installation is part of a UK-wide tour organised by 14-18NOW, which is promoting a cultural programme to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
