  • Explore Your Archive 03/11/2013

    As part of a national campaign called “Explore Your Archive”, Linda Bankier will give a talk on “Treasures from the Berwick Archives”, in Berwick Library on Tuesday 26 November 2013 from 2.00 – 3.00pm.  There will be documents to look at including some gems of local history.

  • The Belaney / Skelly affair 03/11/2013

    The Friends’ Autumn Lecture took place on Friday 1st November 2013 at 7.00pm in the Parish Centre, adjacent to Berwick Parish Church.  Lady Rose Crossman, in the chair, introduced  founder member, David Donaldson, who gave a fascinating lecture on The Belaney Skelly Affair, a mid-nineteenth century scandal, which made North Sunderland / Seahouses the talk of the press, not only locally but nationally.
