• Wilson’s Women 20/03/2016

    On Sunday 27 March 2016, the Wilson’s Tales Project will present three dramatized tales in a performance entitled “Wilson’s Women: Heroines & Harlots”. They will take place at The Watchtower at 8.00pm, with tickets on sale at The Maltings at ¬£8.00.

    The stories which will be performed are “Kate Kennedy”, “Grizzel Cochrane: A Tale of Tweedmouth Muir”, and “The Guidewife of Coldingham”.

  • Record Office closure 08/05/2015

    Owing to Northumberland County Council’s major reorganisation of its property in Berwick, the Record Office has to vacate its current premises in Wallace Green by 8th June 2015. It is expected that the Record Office will continue to offer its existing opening hours until then (subject to the need to make preparations for the removal).

    A statement from the Woodhorn Trust has said that the Record Office will re-open in the Library in October; there will be some disruption to the public service between June and October, and a further announcement will be made concerning the interim arrangements. Temporary storage facilities for...

  • Explore Your Archive 03/11/2013

    As part of a national campaign called “Explore Your Archive”, Linda Bankier will give a talk on “Treasures from the Berwick Archives”, in Berwick Library on Tuesday 26 November 2013 from 2.00 – 3.00pm.¬† There will be documents to look at including some gems of local history.
