  • Family History weekend 20/09/2015

    On Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October 2015, a Family History Festival is being held in Berwick Town Hall, from 11am to 4pm each day. There will be talks, local family history displays, individual advice on family reseach, and activities for children.  Admission free.

    The event forms part of the Berwick 900 celebrations.

  • Museum & Archives future plans 11/09/2015

    A statement outlining the current situation of planning for the future of the Museum and the Record Office has been made by the Chairman of the Friends of Berwick & District Museum and Archives.

    “A Working Group has been set up in order to answer some of the current issues facing both institutions. It has been decided that some form of Heritage Centre should be established in Berwick, comprising the Archives, Museum, and possibly the Wilson’s Tales of the Borders project.   • Heritage Open Days 03/09/2015

    This year’s Heritage Open Days will take place from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th September 2015, offering access to interesting buildings, walks and talks. In Berwick and its vicinity there is an impressive list of 26 events taking place, some of them for the first time this year. Highlights involving the Museum and Record Office include:

    Berwick Museum & Art Gallery (The Barracks).  Open (free of charge) on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th, 11.00am – 4.00pm.
