  • Oswald of Northumbria 18/08/2015

     

    TillVAS will be holding its “James IV Memorial Lecture” this year on Sunday 11th October 2015 at 2.30pm in Etal Village Hall.  The lecture, entitled “The King in the North – the life and times of Oswald of Northumbria” will be given by Max Adams, the author of the book of that name.  

    Tickets will be £5 each and available from Maureen Charlton (East Flodden Cottage, Milfield, NE71 6JF) on receipt of a cheque and SAE or on September 2nd at the regular monthly evening meeting.

  • Fishing at The Maltings 12/08/2015

    A group of local children have been working with Berwick archivist Linda Bankier on a project to create a play on a fishing theme, making use of local archives. They will be giving a performance of their work on Friday 14 August 2015 at 6.00pm in the Henry Travers Studio at The Maltings.  The performance should last for about 30 minutes – admission FREE.
