  • Flodden Transcription Project 17/11/2014

    Archivist Linda Bankier will speak about the Flodden Transcription Project at two forthcoming meetings.  On Tuesday 25 November 2014, she talks to Ayton Local History Society in Ayton Community Hall, at 7.30pm.  And on Monday 1 December at 7.30pm Bowsden Local History Society will host a meeting for her talk in Bowsden Community Centre.

    As part of Explore Your Archive week (10-16 November) we are highlighting a story which appeared in the Friends’ Newsletter in September 2009.  It describes an unforeseen encounter between a visiting circus and a Tweedmouth school in 1965. The following account was given in the Berwick Advertiser:
